“At The Pictures”: The Old Barn, Kelston Roundhill, with guests Red Deer Sleeping

11th May 2018, 18:30

a return to the extraordinary setting of our recent live album, this time with our film project and guest support from the delightful Red Deer Sleeping. Doors open 6:30pm.

If you’re not familiar with the venue, it’s a Victorian threshing barn situated 400 metres below the
clump of trees at the top of Kelston Roundhill. It’s accessed by a farm track that runs up from the
A431, just on the Bath side of Kelston village. The farm track is the second on the right, about 60
metres past the village sign as you travel from Bath. There are wooden signs at the entrance to the track facing both ways.

If you’re travelling from Bristol, the farm track is the first on the left, about 250 metres past the Old Crown pub in Kelston village. From the road, after about 100 metres the track turns to the left just before a large, newish corrugated metal barn and then gently curves and rises all the way to the older barn. You will be able to park on the grass on the right, before the gate into the field around the barn.

Doors and the cash bar open at 7.00 pm. First live music will start at 8.00. Simple food – hot soup, local cheese, bread and chocolate brownies – will be available to purchase as well.
